ProStoke™ is 100% All Natural

Everything you taste in ProStoke™ has been carefully selected from the natural world, and each one plays a vital part in making ProStoke™ so effective. Many of the ingredients have been used by indigenous peoples in Asia, South America and the Middle east for hundreds of years. ProStoke™ combines these with natural vitamins and minerals to maximize energy, nutrition and hydration.

Pomegranate

This berry is responsible for the magenta color and sweet-tart flavor of the ProStoke™ formula. Decayed pomegranate remains have been found in the Middle East dating back to 1000 BC, and it has played an important role there ever since. Relatively new to North America, the antioxidant properties of pomegranate juice are widely documented. In addition, pomegranate provides vitamin C, vitamin B5, potassium and beta carotene. Oh, and its delicious flavor.

Green Tea

Commonly associated with Japanese cuisine, green tea originated in China more than 4000 years ago. Since then it has been used as a beverage and traditional medicine throughout Asia. We have included green tea due to its proven antioxidant content, natural caffeine kick, and metabolism-boosting properties. A study at Birmingham University in the UK has demonstrated that green tea can boost fat oxidization rates by 17%, which increases total energy expenditure by the same amount. In plain English, this means that green tea will help your body burn fat and convert it into energy you can use right away. Not too shabby.

Yerba Mate

A species of holly native to subtropical South America, mate (as it is known to locals) has been used by the Guarani people for centuries as a daily tonic. Native to Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Bolivia, the leaves and twigs of mate provide natural stimulants, B vitamins, minerals, and 15 amino acids. Studies have shown that the stimulant blend in mate is different from other plants containing caffeine, and has a greater effect on muscle tissue, and less on the central nervous system. This gives you energy without the jitters normally resulting from caffeinated drinks, such as coffee.

Guarana

This climbing plant in the maple family is native to the Amazon basin in Brazil, and plays an important role in the Tupi and Guarani cultures. A human study in 2007 showed that even small doses of guarana are able to increase memory, alertness and mood.

Stevia

Stevia rebaudiana, commonly known as sweetleaf, is a natural zero-calorie sweetener that has 30 times the sweetness of table sugar. Stevia has been used by the Guarani tribe in South America for centuries to sweeten their daily yerba mate drinks, but has only recently made its way into food and beverages in North America.

Vitamins B6 and B12

These B vitamins are common in many food sources, but unfortunately can be reduced by over 70% during cooking and processing, leading to a potential deficiency. As water-soluble vitamins, excess B6 and B12 are excreted each day and need to be replaced. This also means that it is impossible to have too much of either. We provide B6 and B12 in abundance to ensure you will always have enough in your bloodstream, and also because they have been shown to provide a long-lasting non-caffeine energy boost.

Vitamin C

Found as ascorbic acid in citrus fruits and many other plant foods, vitamin C is also water soluble, and needs to constantly be replenished. The ascorbate ion acts as an antioxidant and an immune-system booster to protect you against the harsh environment. Vitamin C is required for growth and repair of body tissue, such as healing wounds and rebuilding muscle fibers.

Vitamin E

This fat-soluble vitamin acts as an antioxidant, stopping the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) that occur when fat undergoes oxidation. Again, in English, this means that vitamin E can protect you by limiting production of highly reactive free radicals that form when converting food into energy. This is especially important during high-exertion activities.

Potassium

This electrolyte is vital to maintaining proper muscular function. Dehydration is commonly accompanied by potassium deficiency, and is responsible for cramping and loss of muscle strength. It is important when rehydrating to also replenish lost electrolytes to maintain systemic balance.
